Limited Warranty Coverage

SafeRacks warrants its overhead storage units (“products”) to be free from malfunctions and defects in both materials and workmanship for as long as you own the products at the original point of installation.

SafeRacks will REPAIR or REPLACE the products if they fail to function properly during the warranty period, subject to the limitations described below. Such repair service will include all labor as well as any necessary adjustments and/or replacement parts, but excluding the removal and the reinstallation of the product at your site. Such repair or replacement is the sole remedy under this warranty.

Limitations

Warranty coverage automatically terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer the products or the structure in which the products have been installed.

Request for Warranty service will not be accepted without proof of date of purchase, such as a copy of the original dated purchase order. (Always keep the original for your records.)

This warranty does not cover problems caused by failure to follow the SafeRacks installation instructions. This warranty does not cover corrosion, rust or discoloration.

This warranty is void if you exceed the maximum, evenly distributed weight permitted for SafeRacks products – not more than 600 pounds for 8'x4', 8'x3', 8'x2', 6'x4', 6'x3', 6'x2' products, and not more than 300 pounds for the 4'x4' product.

This warranty is void if you exceed the maximum length of the vertical supports – Not more than 46” from the ceiling to the bottom of the racks.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY WHEN FAILURE IS DUE TO SHIPPING DAMAGE, ACCIDENT, ALTERATION, MODIFICATION, IMPROPER INSTALLATION, MISUSE, ABUSE, OR USE WITH INCOMPATIBLE ACCESSORIES.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

SafeRacks makes no other express or implied warranty for its products. In the event that the exclusion of any implied warranty is ineffective under the law, the duration of the implied warranty will be five years from the purchase date.

The option of repair or replacement is SafeRacks’s only obligation. SafeRacks will not be responsible for any special, consequential or incidental damages resulting from the sale, purchase, installation or use of the products, regardless of the cause.

Some states or jurisdictions do not allow exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Some states or jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
